Seeking tail lights for 1999 Patriot
« on: July 05, 2016, 06:01:26 AM »
Hi All,

I am looking to replace the tail light assemblies on my 1999 Patriot Ticonderoga.
They are very dim.  I have replaced all the incandescent bulbs with super bright LED's but it didn't help and also some of the lenses are cracked.  Trying to find correct replacements. Tried googleing the DOT number with no luck.
Each side has three seperate lenses, all three the same size.  Orenge, Red, and White.  They wrap around just a little on the sides. One screw in each corner of each lens.

Also, what is the headlight lens replacement for my year?

Thanks,
Scott Harris

I think they are the same as we had on our 1991 Contessa. We used to take them out and use a mild buffing compound on them and then take a buffer to wax them and they looked like new. Had to do it every few years. Cant help with cracks or what they were once used on some other brand automotive style.

The Tail lights are Hella 5603 series

The 5603 series can be replaced with either the 8805 (standard bulb) or the 8982 (LED) series lights as long as you have access to attach them from the rear.  New lights attach from rear.

See attached pdf for additional information and cross reference numbers.

I am not sure how long Beaver used the 1987- 1991 Ford F150 headlights but a quick google image check will tell you if they match yours.
