HWH Pump operates intermittent
« on: July 31, 2017, 09:20:09 PM »
My system is a 2000 Marquis with HWH levelors 600 series. This morning ,the main slide would not retract. The solenoids were clicking. The jacks would not extend. This is the second event. The last time was about 4 camps back. On the previous event after the slide wouldnt retract I tried the Jacks and they worked and then the slide retracted. Since then I checked and snugged the connections. Today the same symptoms, after checking with test light while wife tried the switch. No luck. Resort to plan B, take out 4lb hammer and 3 raps on motor case. PRESTO! It works now. That was my 2nd warning. Called Stuarts service and they need model # off motor case for replacement motor . I have not been able to find it and I have removed the step at entrance to access pump.I'm thinking it may could use a good cleaning ,possibly brushes. Has anybody pulled this and serviced?

No response? How about manual overide refered to in owners manual when slides fail to retract? I have done the steps in manual but have not been able to find the procedure for manual overide. How do you get the slide in without the pump?

Thank you Steve, that answered my question about manually retracting slide. When it quit Monday we were in the backwoods of Maine. No cell,no internet,no way to call for help. It is now working fine. I have spoken to pump mfr and they said you can remove the motor endplate, carefully and inspect, clean brushes. They cannot be replaced without removing mtr, which I dont want to do without replacement in hand. By the way I think we met last summer in Winnemucca ,at New Frontier. I was parked across from you.?

Michael,
Glad to help, that's what the Forum is for.
Must have been another Steve as we weren't in NV last year. Hope to see you at a rally.
