Cash Acme Vacuum Break (back flow control valve)

Hi I am out on the road and have discovered a leak in this plumbing device. It is located behind the washing machine. To replace it will require partial if not complete removal of the washer. Not something I would want to do on the road if possible. It does not seem to be related to the washer in that it is only on the cold water line. What I would like to know is can anyone tell me what plumbing circuit this would be in so I can assess if this can be isolated or not.
Thanks

Jim,
Not sure but I do know the black tank flush system has a vacuum break in its circuit.

I am in the process of getting our Splendide back in after a two-blink diagnostic code. I see a similar device to yours behind our washer. I thought it is part of the black tank rinse plumbing. I think there is an anti-backflow device on the blank tank rinse plumbing and think this device is it. I did not see where it is hooked up to the washer, but not totally sure my explanation is accurate. Someone surely knows and I hope we get an identification to be sure.

I'm sure you already looked this up - but for anyone else interested, here is the manufacturer's info on the valve;

Hi David, If you have the washer out you may want to replace this valve, $19.66 on Amazon. To me, worth the money not to have to remove the washer again. Also this leaked on the Aladdin control boxes in the wet bay just under the washer. The reason I discovered this was that the Aladdin went nuts. I was able to dry it out and get it going again but was lucky nothing was permanently damaged. A fair number of the connectors were full of water and needed to be blown out.
Just a thought.

Hi Steve; that could make sense, I used that system when I discovered the problem. Also, I did a water fill and was wondering if the fill had a back flow as well. Do you know if or have you ever seen one on the water tank fill side?
Thanks
