Parking long term on asphalt
« on: July 08, 2019, 12:18:15 AM »
Hello everyone,

So my wife and I are full timers. Come October we are starting semi-permanent job as a day use area host. The area we will park our rig is asphalt. Any thoughts if we should place anything under the tires while parked? We will still take the rig out regularly, but come winter will hunker down and not leave a whole lot. Thanks for any advice.

I use white tire covers when I park for more than a few days. Also use 303 Protectant on the tire sidewalls. Think of it as sunscreen for your tires.

For all things tire, check out Roger Marble's website; RV Tire Safety. http://www.rvtiresafety.net/

Rodger does recommend using plywood or something to keep tires off asphalt, but I haven't heard or seen an explanation.
