Where to get slide out repair
« on: September 16, 2019, 06:03:37 PM »
Having issues with rear passenger side slide out on 2006 Beaver Monterey. Looking for places that can work on slideout, besides HWH. Figure Beaver in Bend is one option but looking for other possibilities.
Has anyone had slideout work done and where.

I have used elite in Harrisburg Oregon with some success keep in mind their prices are comparable with BAC… As in expensive but they seem to know what they are doing for the most part. They are ex  Monaco people who probably built that coach , Since it came off the Monaco line as mostly another name badge with the same chassis

I second Jeff at Bend RV Repair.  He’s also an ex Beaver employee, does excellent work, and though busy is more likely to work you in sooner than BCS.  He’s just across Boyd Acres from BCS.

You didn’t say for certain what area of the country you are in, which would help others make recommendations.  Also, what exactly is haywire, with the “scissors” slide I presume?  Solenoid issues, for example, are sometimes easily resolvable by the owner;  sometimes not.

I'll second Elite RV in Harrisburg, Or. Eric and the crew repaired our pass slide; I didn't even know it was broken. They replaced a roller and chain link or something like that. This year, we dropped in with a leak in our aqua hot and they fixed it on the spot. Also they replaced our plastic coolant tank with a nice welded aluminum one.

Just a head's up on having work done at BCS in Bend late in the year. Last year, we had some work done there in early Nov. BCS would not take the coach unless it has been 'winterized'. BCS winterized the coach for $300 as we dropped it off. When we picked it up a few weeks later, they didn't charge us to de-winterize. BTW, on the way up to Bend, the hose bib at the campground where we stayed froze up in the morning. A little hot water from the teakettle solved the crisis.

Just had our 2005 Monterey slide repaired at 24/7 Motorcoach in Las Vegas, NV. Was able to repair slide lock mechanism after it got bound up by a wayward rivet from the room topper. Their tech had previously repaired unbalanced Jack function on the bedroom counter slide damaged from a tire blowout.
