Anything technical I can handle (auto tech), so fire away , tech manuals to trace electrical wiring, how system operates does the transmission ecm send outputs related to speed/gear range to lift/ drop that tag ? Thx. Scott

Hi Scott.
Is your coach a 2001 model year (perhaps built in 2000)? I ask because i thought the "first Tag Axle" came out in 2001 for the Marquis (not counting the Solitaire) - at least that's according the brochures.

Anyways - On my 2005, the HWH air leveling has its own valve bank with multiple solenoids for the Tag Axle. When the coach is in Travel mode the "travel solenoid" is open air goes straight through it to the (adjustable) air regulator and then back to the air bags. This HWH valve bank also has the lower and raise solenoids for leveling.

My coach is a Monaco era coach - yours is a SMC era coach, so there may be some differences.

Do you know what model HWH leveling system you have (i.e. mine is the HWH 2000 system)? Do you have the adjustable Tag Axle air pressure regulator at the back of coach?

Hi mike mine is a 2000, with the air reg in the bay, it used to automatically drop on acceleration at apx 15 mph,   Then it would raise when slowing under that speed. Apx.

Thanks for clarifying the year of your coach. I'll need to update my "Beaver History-Chassis" document.

On the Tag issue - do you have a separate button for "Tag Dump"? The manual below indicates there would be a Tag Dump button (supplied by Coach manufacture) - if this is the correct manual.

This is a link to the manual for the HWH 600 series. https://www.hwhcorp.com/ml19048.pdf

See the section on Tag Dump (about page 6). It does not describe a lifting function (sounds like it just dumps the air to remove the load on the tires when Turing). Is that what your does?

Also, you say you have 4 air bags for the Tag axle (and 4 air bags for the Drive axle)? With the front 4 air bags, that would be a total of 12 bags. That would be unusual.

Hello mike, thx for the update , but mine is different , it has a separate tag switch not a dump switch just a tag switch to either turn it on or off. As to the automatic operation of it.  yes 4 air bags.  For the tag. 2 are for lowering the tag, 2 are for raising of the tag. All accomplished automatically as long as the switch is on. If turned off the tag would just stay where it was when switched. Either up or down.  All of-course
As described.  Before the system went into dysfunction. Scott.
