I need to upgrade my headlights and tail/brake lights. Does anyone know the origins of these lights? GM,Dodge etc?  They need to be substantially brighter . Thanks,  Jeremy

I don't know about taillights, but if you Google the letters/numbers on the headlights you can find out what vehicle they were made for.  My 2000 Patriot Thunder uses Lincoln Navigator headlights.

Jeremy,
The headlights are out of a 1999 to 2002 Lincoln Navigator. If the lens is badly discolored and will not polish out, you may need to replace them. However if the lens are clear and the reflectors are good all that you will need to do is wire a relay into the high beam and low beam circuits to correct the dim headlight problem. There are several threads on this forum about the problem.

Hi Gerald,
Thanks for the information. I am hoping there is replacement headlight that includes the duo type lights that newer cars and trucks use like Range Rover.

Hi Jill,
On EBay  I found a complete new  headlight set for a 1999-2002 Lincoln Navigator. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-Pair-Headlight-Set-2-Passenger-Driver-Side-Bulbs-Clear-lens-RH-LH-/370540867837?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5645f4f0fd
From this info we can   see which Zenon light kit  to upgrade the lamp in our present system. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3984Q2em1423Q2el2649QQitemZ150662188392QQsspagenameZSTRKQ3aMEWAXQ3aIT#vi-ilComp
I am hoping I can find a newer compatible fitting that will hold seperate lamps for high and low beams.
I have no idea which vehicle our rear brake and tail lights come .Maybe someone with accesss to their coach(ours is stored in Indianapolis.IN ) can give me any numbers they find on the plastic lens. It might be possible to identify the donor car/truck it came from. Failing that the number off the bulb and or fitting/holder would be useful. I found these tail lights on EBay for a  1999-02 Lincoln Navigator. They do look familiar.Maybe someone could check? Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lincoln-Navigator-98-02-Outer-Taillight-Taillamp-Pair-/110724635623?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19c7b3dbe7
If these are the correct tail light housings then here is the link to some super led bulbs to replace the exisiting ones:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lincol-Navigator-LED-Spider-Brake-Lights-Lamp-1998-2005-/320561626117?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4aa2f63c05
I am also going to add relays to the headlight circuit to provide a full 12 volts supply.

After you find the new headlights, check the voltage to them.  Mine was 9 volts.  After installing the relays, I have 12 volts, and bright headlights.  12 volt lights are not very bright with only 9 volts to them.  Even new ones.
