Hurricane Fuel Solenoid

Ok, so I am at BCS for repairs on several items and just had my Hurricane heater serviced.  Last night I kept having a run flame out after starting the unit. It would run for about a minute and then started to sputter, then quit. I looked at the board and the run flameout light was lit. I read the manual and several posts and did all of the suggested procedures.  I tried it on  bypass,  bled the fuel line, checked the nozzle (which was brand new) and everything appears to be fine.

What I noticed after checking the manual is that there is no fuel solenoid on my unit.  There is a purple wire in the box that is unattached, that should attach to the solenoid according to the manual.  Is it possible that it was accidentally left off?  Seems like this could be the problem, doesn't it?
