   Roy,
Call Trimark and ask for Ann or Abby. They will ask you for the ID marks on the lock or handle. 800-431 8616. Hope this helps, Fred

My entrance handle on a '05 Monterey is a straight piece of acrylic. I ordered a piece of adequate length and diameter from EBay for a fraction of the price. Since the bottom chrome attachment was already wired for a light, while I had it apart I added a 1 or 2 inch piece of LED strip light at the bottom of the acrylic.

If the acrylic piece on your handle is curved it makes a little bit more of a challenge but apparently the acrylic can be shaped as needed by heating.

   Hey Guys,
Are we talking about the illuminated grab handle to the left of the entry door or the door lock assembly in the door? It sure is easy for me to get confused! Fred

Good point Fred. I can't visualize an outside door latch handle breaking in two but then stranger things have happened.  😉

That's my point Bob, as these coaches age the link between the latch (in the edge of the door) and the exterior entry door lock tends to wear at the rod end of the clevis clips. The result is the paddle you grab runs out of travel before the lock releases. The ladies get annoyed because they end up breaking their nails trying to open the door. The guys tend to body slam the door as they open it. If you pull hard enough, the paddle breaks at the pivot points. The "fix" is to remove the inside door panel and then the sheet metal cover. Locate the rod with the 2 clevis clips that goes from the lock to the latch. Remove one of the clevis clips. Loosen the 2 jam nuts and shorten the length of the rod by 1/8" and re-tighten the nuts. Reinstall and test the outside lock operation. You will find that the door opens a lot easier. Caution: If you shorten the rod too much, the door may open in transit. Hope this helps, Fred

Good point Fred. It is the clear outside grab handle that has broken in half.

Roy,
This is what mine looks like, from NW RV Supply in Eugene. Happened to me too. I was exiting the coach, and turned backwards to use the handle while stepping down, and it snapped right in two,

Thanks all for your reply’s. Sorry for the confusion. Beaver Coach Sales had one in stock, with the Marquis engraving.
